Girls don’t like Torrent Sites like Pirate-bay or Bit-torrent – Survey Findings

First of its kind survey, to understand the file-sharing habits around the users on torrent sites by Cyber norms group where conducted with the help of Pirate Bay (renamed itself to Research Bay in April). Nearly 75 K people around the web participated in the market research within just 3 days on pirate bay. Results would not be out before November, but researchers are already pinging out some key facts & figures form the findings.

Facts & Figures :

1. Only 5 % of the respondents were Female.
2. Girls / Women don’t like to fill online surveys on file-sharing habits.
3. Pirate Bay / Bit Torrent is still the Man thing
4. Only 22% of the visitors are Female on (Pirate Bay)
5. BT Junkie is most attractive to Female among Torrent Sites with 26% of Female visitors.
6. Majority of the users of Torrent sites are young men (18 to 24 Age)
7. Download habits don’t vary with culture
8. No Difference between men & Women, on content to be downloaded from torrent sites
9. Both men & women download the same amount of porn & sports related
10. 60% of the men download games whereas only 25% of women
11. 80% of visitors download movies while only 40% download music.
