Complaint Against Taxi, Autorickshaw & Bus Online - Mumbai Traffic Police

It has been an year & half, I am working in Mumbai. I have to travel via Taxi, Auto rickshaw or Buses in Mumbai. Most of the time when i want a Taxi or Auto rickshaw for a short travel or a place which a driver do not want to go.. I have to fight with them or try another Taxi or Auto rickshaw. This happens with all of us..

But now Government of Maharashtra & Traffic Police department have made it possible for the local public to register a complaint against the drivers in Mumbai for any of the below mentioned activities:

  1. Refusing to Ferry You
  2. Demand Excess Fare
  3. Meter Not Working
  4. Excess Charges for Luggage and others....
You can register a complaint against Taxi, Auto rickshaw or Bus Drivers in Mumbai via toll free number (1800-22-0110) and along with the online complaint form available on the Govt. of Maharashtra Motor Vehicles Dept. & Traffic Police Online Website.

You can also complaint by other sources. Complainants name will not be disclosed. You can also send complaint on tansportcommissioner@trafficpolicemumbai.org, rto.tardeo@trafficpolicemumbai.org and complaints@trafficpolicemumbai.org

So, Next time any driver refuse to ferry you or demand excess fare, you can at least warn him for the complaint. Most important you would need the Vehicle number to register the complaint against the driver. Happy Public traveling in Mumbai..
